Home Office

When I was younger, and decided I wanted to be a working photographer, I thought it would be none stop adventure. I thought I would be outdoors everyday photographing something new. Well, now that I am a working photographer, I have found out that a good portion of the work a photographer does is spent on a computer. Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t trade being a photographer for any other job and there are days where it is none stop adventure. If you are thinking about wanting to become a working photographer, just know that on some days, your mornings and evenings will be spent in your home office. Whether you’re answering emails, setting up photo shoots, or evening checking the weather. Below is a photograph I took showing my home office.

Fresh Mountain Air

This week in school, our class was given the assignment to go out and photograph a panoramic image. For those who do not know what that is, a panorama is a series of multiple images that you put together to make one big image. It is most commonly used in landscape photography. Once we were told about this assignment, I knew where I wanted to go straight away. It has been raining here in Asheboro, NC for about 3 days now, which makes everything very saturated in color. Knowing this about the color of nature, I immediately started packing my bag to head for the mountains. However, I did not want a typical mountain panorama photograph. I went with the idea to only photograph the roads leading into the mountain. This is the panorama that I made that day.
